لاحقاً في أول المساء ذهبت إلى المنزل الأبيض، تحدثت مع الحارس عن رغبتي في الصعود لتلك الغرفة، لأمضي ساعتين فقط، تمتم ببعض الكلمات، ربت على كتفه وصعدت للغرفة.
وجدت هناك رجلاً أجنبياً ينتظرني عند الباب، خلتني في حلم أو ما شابه، بشرته بيضاء، شعره أشقر ذهبي، في نهاية الثلاثينات من عمره، يرتدي ملابس رسمية، ولكن لفت نظري أن نسق تصميمها قديم وفخم في آن.
رحب بي وأراني الطريق عبر مكان أول مرة أزوره، كنت أرتدي فستاناً أحمرَ قانياً طويلاً جعلني أبدو كملكة من العصور الوسطى، عبرنا أزقة، أراني بيتاً بأكمله محصوراً في صندوق زجاجي، هذا البيت كان به لهب ونار في كله، ولكن الزجاج يعزله عما حوله، ورد في خاطري أن النار كانت كما الذهب باردة لا تضر من يلمسها، هكذا كان لديه رساله من كل ذلك، أفقت وأنا مستلقية في الفراش بمنزل جدي، كانت النجوم تغادر والفجر في بواكير اليوم يستقبل حشود الشمس.
هنا لا يمكنني أن شرح أو أفسر، هنا فقط أتلقى شيئاً ما قد يعنيني وقد لا يكون له صلة بي، أي يملى علي بطريقة خارقة للإستيعاب.
حلقت ذقني، وبينما كنت أغسل وجهي تذكرت فستاني الأحمر القاني، الذي رأيتني أرتديه برفقة ذاك الرجل الأشقر، ابتسمت، أقسمت أن أشتريه إن عثرت عليه في السوق ولأهدينه لزوجة المستقبل، ابنة الفران.
