يُشكل كتاب «إشكاليَّات الذَّات السَّاردة في الرِّواية النَّسائية السُّعوديَّة»، للكاتبة الدكتورة أسماء مقبل عوض الأحمدي، رافداً مهماً من روافد الدَّرسِ الأدبيِّ النَّقديِّ في مجال الرَّوايةِ السُّعوديّةِ، خلال المدة ما بين: (1999-2012م)، ومحاولة للوقوف على المُنْجز الرِّوائي الذي من خلاله يمكن الولوج لإشكاليَّات المرأة وقضاياها التي تحسر وجودها وتفرّدها؛ فكانت الرواية لرفع اللثام عن المسكُوت عنه، وخاصةً مما كُتب بلسان امرأة ترى في كرامتها وحرِّيتها سكب تلك الأسرار والدّفع بها للمجتمع ليحاكم نفسه، ويُصدر عقوبته بحق المدّ الذكوريِّ، رغم ما يمتلكه المجتمع من تقبّل للتّطوّر الحضاري الذي تشهده البلاد وخاصّة فيما بعد الطّفرة النفطية، إضافة إلى التوغّل في الفكر والإنسانيَّة والآخر. تتألف الدراسة من مقدمة ومدخل نظري وخمسة فصول وخاتمة. وجاءت الفصول تحت العناوين الرئيسية الآتية: الفصل الأول: تشكلات الذَّات السّاردة والذّوات الأخرى، الفصل الثاني: الخطاب الروائي وتشكلات الذّات، الفصل الثالث: الذَّات وإشكاليَّة الوصف، الفصل الرابع: البعد الجماليُّ الفنيُّ للرواية النّسائيَّة السعوديَّة، الفصل الخامس: إشكالية اللغة بين الذّات السّاردة والذّات الكاتبة.
