«رؤى ومفاهيم» هو الكتاب الأول من - سلسلة: عن القضاء أتحدث – لمؤلفه ناصر بن زيد بن داود يضم مقالات في حقل القضاء. هي حصيلة تجربة المؤلف وخبرته في هذا المجال. يسلط من خلالها الضوء على مؤسسة القضاء في المملكة العربية السعودية وصلاحياتها وسلطاتها وأداؤها وما تتميز به في تقديم خدماتها للمحتاجين من مواطني المملكة المباركة. في الكلمة الافتتاحية للكتاب وتحت عنوان «القضاء السعودي.. الرؤية والأهداف» يقول المؤلف: "في بداية عهد المؤسس – جلالة الملك عبد العزيز بن عبد العزيز بن عبد الرحمن آل سعود يرحمه الله - كانت القضايا قليلة وغير معقدة، ويمكن القاضي - آنذاك - البت فيها على أيَّ حال هو عليه؛ سواءٌ كان: في المسجد، أو في السوق، أو في منزله، ولم يكن ثمة لددٌ بين الخصوم في الغالب، فما أن يُفصح القاضي عن حكمه حتى يسارع القوم إلى تنفيذه، ونادراً ما يطلب أيّ من الخصوم ورقةً أو وثيقةً بمنصوص الحكم في غير العقار. ولذلك لم تكن رؤية قضائية معلنة. غير أنه من الممكن أن نستوحي الرؤية القضائية السالفة من حال القضاة ومن أخبار المسؤولين عن القضاء آنذاك بأنها "القضاء في جميع الخصومات بأحكام الشريعة الإسلامية". تتنوع موضوعات الكتاب لتشمل قضايا عديدة منها: تطوير نظام القضاء والأحكام الجزائية وقانون الأحكام الشخصية وإعادة هيكلة المجلس الأعلى للقضاء وآليات تطوير العمل القضائي وشروط القاضي بين الماضي والحاضر وقرارات المجلس الأعلى للقضاء وحقوق القضاة المادية والمعنوية وواجبات القضاء وخصخصة القضاء ومعهد التدريب القضائي، (...) وعناوين أخرى ذات صلة.
