قال اليوسفي الأب: - لا تضطربوا من قول المبطلين، ولا ترهبوا سيوف الظالمين، فإن خوفهم من الحقّ أكبر من سعادتهم في باطلهم، وما يحدثونه في باطلهم يُركسهم في الفتنة، ويبعدهم عن الأمان، ويدخلهم في حلقة الخوف الدائم من زوال باطلهم.
قلت: أصوات كثيرة، تنسج على منوالنا، وتبتغي غير غاياتنا، وتقول مثلما نقول وتنسبه إلينا؛ قال: -دع عنك هذا، تناول القراطيس، أين وصلنا من أمر الكوفة؟ أُكتب ما نُتِمُّ به رسالتنا من دون حاجة الإجابة عن رسائل ولدنا؛ وإن كان صمته الأخير يثير في نفسي الشكوك، ولا أكتمك سرّاً، فقد استهوتني طريقته.
