حين يتخذ الكاتب من واقعة حياتية مادة لروايته، يكون عليه أن يوازن بين مقتضيات الأمانة الشخصية ومتطلبات الفن الروائي. ولعل هذا ما قام به الروائي اللبناني نزار دندش في "الوجه الآخر للعدالة"، والتي يبدو أنه انطلق فيها من واقعة تكاد تكون شخصية حصلت في رحلة إلى استراليا عهد بروايتها إلى راوٍ عليم هو (داني) الذي ذهب وزوجته لزيارة ابنتهما في استراليا والتمتع معها بأجواء أرادوا منها الترويح عن النفس خارج بلدهم الأصل لبنان فإذا بهم يقعون ضحية امرأة افريقية تشاطر ابنتهما (لولو) السكن في استراليا، حيث تدعى الأخيرة على (داني) بتهمة التحرش الجنسي، وبعد طول معاناة مع المحاكم والقضاء تثبت براءة المتهم ويعود إلى بلده لبنان حاسماً صراعاُ مريراً داخلياً طال أمده، فقد كان محتاراً بين أن يمضي حياة ما بعد التقاعد في أستراليا أو في لبنان، ليفوز لبنان في نهاية الأمر، وكأن الكاتب يقول لنا ليس من مكان للبناني أفضل من تراب الوطن، وأن ما يحلم به الشباب من حرية وعدالة خارج حدود الوطن ليست إلا شعارات زائفة ففي أشد البلاد تحضيراً تكمن في القوانين "ثغرات تستبدل الظلم بظلم أقبح منه؟!" وأن "نجربة آلاف السنين من الظلم في تاريخ البشر قد جعلتهم ملآى بالعقد، والتعقيد يعمي البصيرة" و"أن القوانين تحتمل نسبة من الخطأ".
