نا الحلاج الذي غزل بيديه أخبار مدائنَ قد مضت؛ فاصطفاه صاحب الأسرار ليُكمل غزْل حكايته التي لم تنْتَه، بعد أن ظنَّ الجاهلون يومًا أن أحرُفه قد طَمَسَها الماء.
أنا الواثق، الموثُوقُ بوثاق العهد الذي عقده بين أقصى، وأقصى؛ وأدنى، وأدنى؛ فتباعدت المسافات واقتربت؛ وقست، ولانَتْ؛ فبِتُّ أجمعُ كل الخيوط نحو نقطةٍ واحدةٍ يسعى إليها من امتلأ قلبُه باليقين، فبَاتَ يرى الله في نفسه، أكثر مما يرى نفسه؛ ويرى الله في غيره أكثر مما يرى غيره؛ ويرى الله في الأشجار، والسماء، والأنهار والمطر، أكثر مما يرى ما يرى؛ فَزَهَد الوَرَى، وأصبح قلبُه معلقًا بالذكر.
