مسح هارون على رأس أخيه، ثم ناوله كسرة الخبز التي سقطت من يده، وعاد يتحدث:
- ماذا عن عوالم أوجدها الله بأكثر من شمس كما تحدثت روايات الخيال القديمة؟ عن ثقوب شريرة غير مرئية تمتص كل شيء ولها يضطرب نسيج الكون نفسه؟ عن حساء من مادة النجوم؟ عن كواكب تمطر ألماسًا؟ ماذا عن نجوم هجينة، يحوي الواحد منها نجمًا آخر يدور بداخله؟! فكرة غير معقولة إلا في عالم العرفان، حينما يدور عارف في قرطبة داخل قلب عارف في القاهرة مثلًا، أو حينما يدور عارف في أصفهان داخل قطرة ماء تدلت من ورقة شجر في قونية، فعالم العرفان هو عالم من خيال معقول، لكنه يوصلنا في النهاية إلى الحقيقة الكبرى
