لقد عرفت ظاهرة التنبؤ "إدَّعاء النبوّة" إزدهاراً كبيراً وإنتشاراً واسعاً حسب الوثائق التاريخية في عصور ثلاثة؛ كان أولها صدر الإسلام وعصر الرسالة المحمدية؛ حيث ظهر العديد من المتنبئين الكذَّابين وكان أشهرهم مسيلمة الكذاب، والأسود العنسي، وقد حاربهم المسلمون قبيل وفاة النبي "محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم" وإنتقاله إلى الرفيق الأعلى.
وفي عهد الخليفة الراشد "أبي بكر الصديق" توسعت هذه الظاهرة ليظهر متنبئون آخرون يضلون الناس مما جعل "الصديق" يجرِّد الجيوش لقتالهم، خبت هذه الظاهرة نسبياً بعد ذلك حتى أواخر عهد الدولة العباسية حيث بدأت الدولة العربية الإسلامية عصر الإنحدار، فكثر البذخ واللهو والنزف، وإزداد عدد المتنبئين بشكل ملفت للنظر.
أما العصر الثالث فهو عصرنا الحالي الذي نعيشه في ظل سيادة الحضارة الغربية وتحكُّم المنظمات اليهودية الداعية إلى سيادة العنصر اليهودي على باقي الأمم، ودعوة قادتهم إلى ضرب الأديان وإبعاد الناس عنها عبر تشجيع الفساد وإبراز المتنبئين الكاذبين الذين يسعون إلى إغواء الناس وإبعادهم عن دينهم.
الكتاب الذي بين يديك أيها القارئ يعطيك فكرة مبسطة عن هؤلاء المتنبئين ومعتقداتهم، فقد قسمه المؤلف إلى خمسة فصول، ضم الاول سيرة أشهر المتنبئين، والثاني المتنبئين الذين ما زالت مذاهبهم قائمة حتى الآن ويتبعها الكثير من أصحاب النفوس المريضة، أما الفصل الثالث فقد أورد فيه سيرة بعض المتنبئن الذين خبت دعوتهم في مدة وجيزة من الزمن، والفصل الرابع أورد فيه أسماء أشهر المتألهين والملحدين، كما أورد في الفصل الخامس نوادر بعض المتنبئين إضافة إلى حوار صحفي مع أحد المتنبئين في العصر الحالي، وختمناه برأي الدين في هذه الظاهرة المنحرفة.
