تحتل الشركات التجارية أهمية خاصة في الحياة الإقتصادية للدول، والتي أصدر غالبيتها قوانينا خاصة تتعلق بأحكام الشركات التجارية بمختلف أنواعها.
وفي هذا الإطار يضع الدكتور "فوزي محمد سامي" كتابه الموسوم "الشركات التجارية في قانون دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة" إستكمالاً لما طرحه في مؤلفه السابق "الشركات التجارية في دولة الإمارات" والذي شرح فيه أحكام القانون الإتحادي رقم (8) لسنة 1984 بنصوصه المعدلة.
وفي هذه الطبعة أضاف المؤلف شرحا لما صدر من تعديلات لاحقة مثال ذلك تعديل المادة (168) بالقانون الإتحادي رقم (18) لعام 2006م والتي سبق أن عدلت بالقانون رقم (25) لعام 2001، بإضافة مادة جديدة برقم (18) مكرر (...) كما تضمن الكتاب شرحا للتعديل الذي طال القانون الإتحادي الذي صدر عام 2007م برقم (10) نصّ على إضافة مادة جديدة برقم (273) عرف فيها الشركة العائلية المحلية وأجاز للشرك مساهمة عامة الإحتفاظ بما لا يزيد على 70% من رأسمالها وأن يطرحوا ما لا يقل عن 30% منه للإكتتاب العام.
وبهذا يكون المؤلف قد غطى في هذا الإصدار جميع ما صدر من تعديلات على قانون الشركات التجارية الإتحادي رقم (8) لعام 1984 في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
