في اللافتة الشعرية الأولى التي تستهل بها ضحى البدهان مجموعتها (رؤى) ، والتي تمظهرت كـ (مقدمة) تعلن الشاعرة عن حالة تأملية تسكن كل حرف من حروفها، وكل خلجة من خلجاتها وقد عبّرت عنها بالقول: "رؤى، مفردها رؤيا وهي ما يراه الإنسان في منامه .. رؤى، توحي بخيالٍ أو أمنية .. أشياءً عِشتها وإن لم تعشها حقاً، أو أنك تمنيت ذلك .. رؤىً، تعني سباحة في بحر لا يورث البلل .. بحر مليء بمغامراتٍ لا تدنو من الخطورة .. بحر بقطراتٍ لا تخشى من رئتيك عليها، قطراتٍ تسري بروحك كما تسري دماءك في عروقك .. غرقٌ تُحمد عاقبته .. رؤى!". عبر هذا الكتاب نقع في المجموعة على رؤيات مختلفة للشاعرة عبر هذا الكتاب نقع في المجموعة على رؤيات مختلفة للشاعرة تستدعي من خلالها نصوص أخرى لأدباء وشعراء وتحاول إقامة نوع من التزاوج بين رؤاها ورؤاهم حول القيم الحياتية في المطلق الزماني والمكاني فتقرأ قولاً لغسان كنفاني "إن شراستك كلها إنما هي لإخفاء قلبٍ هشّ"، وقول آخر لبسام حجار "غير أنني متعب، والمشقة في قلبي لا في الطريق!ّ"، وكلام في الحب لمحمد العتيق "لمّا رأيتُ بأن الحبّ منقصةٌ أيقنتُ أني - وربي - عاشقٌ عربي!" ورؤى فلسفية لجلال الدين الرومي "بالأمس كنت ذكياً أردت أن أغير العالم، أما اليوم فأنا حكيم لذلك سأغير نفسي" ...
وهكذا حاولت الشاعرة البدهان أن تقدم للقارىء نثيرة رؤى شخصية مشحونة بقوة العاطفة، والمنظورات الفلسفية، تنحو بكتابتها منحىً خطابياً مفترضاً واقعياً وذهنياً ينهل من معين كتابة إبداعية تقترب من النثر وتذهب بثيماتها إلى مخيلة مندفعة باتجاه الآخر / الإنسان قبل كل شيء.
