الفصل الأول: النشأة التاريخية لعلم الاجتماع التربوي والتعريف به، وموضوعه وأغراضه وعلاقته بالعلوم الأخرى إضافة إلى دراسة إعلامه، الفصل الثاني: التنشئة الاجتماعية تعريفها وأهدافها ووظائفها - دراسة العلاقة بين التنشئة والتربية والأسرة والتحصيل العلمي، الفصل الثالث: وسائل الاتصال ودورها في التنشئة الاجتماعية وتعريفها وسائلها وظائفها ودراسة تأثيرها على التنشئة والتربية، الفصل الرابع: المدرسة منظمة اجتماعية تربوية تعريفها –تطورها ـ بنيتها ـ مميزاتها ـ أهدافها ـ وظائفها ـ أساليبها ودراسة علاقة المعلم بالمدرسة ودورها في التنشئة الاجتماعية، الفصل الخامس: الجماعات الاجتماعية والتنشئة الاجتماعية تعريفها ـ خصائصها ـ تكوينها ـ أنواعها ـ وظائفها، الفصل السادس: دراسة التنظيم الاجتماعي للمعرفة ودراسة علاقة المنهاج والتدريس والتقويم وأثرهما في التنشئة الاجتماعية،دراسة الصف المدرسي وعمليات التنشئة والتربية فيه، الفصل السابع: علاقة السياسة بالتربية ودورها وظائفها وأنواع المشاركة فيها، الفصل الثامن: دراسة علاقة الثقافة بالتربية، ودراسة الثقافة كمفهوم ونشأة وعناصر وخصائص، ودراسة علاقتها في تكوين الفرد والشخصية.
