Book Description
تؤدي الثقافة الجماهيرية (Mass Culture) التي تقدمها وسائل الاتصال الجماهيري دوراً مهماً في تكوين معارف الأفراد واتجاهاتهم. وتعرّف الثقافة الجماهيرية بأنها البرامج والمواد والفقرات المختلفة التي تقوم عبر قنوات الاتصال الجماهيري. ويحتدم النقاش في الغرب وفي البلاد العربية دول مدى أثر هذه الثقافة على المتلقين لها، ويقف النقاد العرب موقفاً مخدراً من أخطارها، وبخاصة المستورد منها، لما تحمله من قيم غريبة.
بالمقابل تعمد دول كبرى مثل الصين وفرنسا إلى اتخاذ إجراءات لمواجهة الغزو الثقافي دفاعاً عن ثقافتها العريقة. وتزداد المشكلة تعقيداً حين نجد أن ارتفاع نسبة الأمية في العالم العربي يحدد خيارات التعرض إلى وسائل الاتصال الجماهيري لصالح وسائل الاتصال الالكترونية فقط. وتزداد الخطورة بظهور قناتين الكترونيتين جديدتين مؤخراً، هما: المحطات الفضائية، العربية والغربية، التي تبث مباشرة للمنازل دون رقيب أو حسيب، والطريق السريع للمعلومات، وما تحمله أجهزة الخادم (Ververs) من مضامين خطيرة هي الأخرى. في ضوء هذه الأخطار، وفي عقد الانفتاح والعولمة يقدم البحث رؤية تحليلية لواقع الثقافة الجماهيرية العربية، وضرورة تطويرها في مطلع الألفية الثالثة للميلاد.
