Book Description
وُلد عبد الوهاب البياتي في بغداد محلّة "باب الشيخ" في عام 1926 ميلادية. التحق بدار المعلمين، وتخرَّج من قسم اللغة العربية عام 1950، ثم عمل مدرِّساً في العراق، وبعض الجامعات الأوربية. كما عمل في السلك الدبلوماسى، آخره كان كملحق ثقافي في السفارة العراقية في إسبانيا. توفي عبد الوهاب البياتي في دمشق في 3 أغسطس 1999.
أما مؤلفاته فهي: ملائكة وشياطين، رسالة إلى ناظم حكمت، أشعار في المنفى، كلمات لا تموت، قصائد، الذي يأتي، بكائية إلى شمس حزيران والمرتزقة، الكتابة على الطين، المجموعة الشعرية الكاملة، سيرة ذاتية لسارق النار، قمر شيراز، مملكة السنبلة، مسرحية "محاكمة في نيسابور"، آراغون: شاعر المقاومة، أباريق مهشّمة، المجد للأطفال والزيتون، عشرون قصيدة من برلين، النار والكلمات، سفر الفقر والثورة، الموت في الحياة، عيون الكلاب الميتة، يوميات سياسي محترف، قصائد حب على بوابات العالم السبع، كتاب البحر، صوت السنوات الضوئي، بستان عائشة، بول إيلوار مغني الحب والحرية.
"صوت الشاعر فوق نحيب الكورس يعلو. منفرداً، منحازاً ضدّ الموت، وضدّ تعاسات البشر الفنانين. بنارِ سعادته السوداء، يجوب العالم. منفيّاً يتطهّر. لا اسم له، ولهُ كلّ الأسماء، بقانون أزليّ يتحوّل. يقتل هذي الوحشة. يقضي بالشعرِ عليها. كم هو شريرٌ أن يسكنك الشعر. (إلهي بين يديك، أنا قوس؛ فاكسرني)".
