تصدرت المجموعة مقدمة للمترجم علي اللواتي كشف من خلالها جوانب التجربة الشعرية لبيرس، وسياقاتها وجذورها المختلفة، وأبعاد رؤيته للعالم، وخصوصية شعريته وصوته الإبداعي.
وتتضمن الترجمة الشعرية دواوين «آناباز»، «منفى»، «رياح»، «أمطار»، و»قصيدٌ للغريبة»؛ فيما يتلوها نص كلمة بيرس في احتفالية جائزة نوبل الممنوحة له، وقراءة نقدية مدققة فاضحة في ترجمة أدونيس لأعمال بيرس، ضمن ملاحق أخرى تصدرت المجموعة مقدمة للمترجم علي اللواتي كشف من خلالها جوانب التجربة الشعرية لبيرس، وسياقاتها وجذورها المختلفة، وأبعاد رؤيته للعالم، وخصوصية شعريته وصوته الإبداعي.
وتتضمن الترجمة الشعرية دواوين «آناباز»، «منفى»، «رياح»، «أمطار»، و»قصيدٌ للغريبة»؛ فيما يتلوها نص كلمة بيرس في احتفالية جائزة نوبل الممنوحة له، وقراءة نقدية مدققة فاضحة في ترجمة أدونيس لأعمال بيرس، ضمن ملاحق أخرى مهمة. وقد فاز «سان جون بيرس»، الشاعر الفرنسي الشهير (31 مايو 1887-20 سبتمبر 1975)، بجائزة نوبل للآداب، لـ»التحليق الشاهق والخيال الملهَم» في أعماله، حسب لجنة نوبل، و»الشكل المكثَّف، حيث يمتزج الشعر والنثر في تدفق مهيب، مازجًا الأسلوب الإنجيلي بالإيقاع السكندري»؛ «أعمال ذات فرادة مميزة، سواء في الشكل أو الوعي». «إنه التعبير عن الإنساني، في تعدديته واستمراريته؛ ووصف الإنسان المبدع أبدًا، في نضاله من قرن إلى قرن.. إنه يوحد نفسه بجميع الأجناس التي تعيش في كوكبنا العاصف. «جنسنا عتيق»، يقول في إحدى قصائده، «جنسنا بلا اسم، والزمن يعرف الكثير عن البشر الذين كُنَّاهم.. يعصف بنا محيط الأشياء، والموت على المدخل، لكن طريقنا ليس موجودًا».
