عدة محاور تبحث في المرتكزات التاريخية والدينية والاقتصادية للمشروع الحضاري الذي وضع لبناته الأولى الرئيس الشهيد رفيق الحريري. هذا العروبي الذي وعى خطورة المرحلة التي تمر بها الأمة العربية في ظل تقاطع ومشاريع دولية وإقليمية عدة.
المشروع الدولي مستمر اليوم مع النظام الدولي الجديد، وتزداد خطورته مع إضافة كل مواردنا الطبيعية إلى النفط لاستنزافها بأرخص الأثمان. حتى التعاون العربي في مواجهة أمنهم الغذائي ممنوع.
والمحور الآخر هو الوزن الاقتصادي الضعيف للعرب الذي يغيب وزنهم السياسي وبالتالي عدم قدرتهم فرض أي تسوية لمشاكلهم الإقليمية تلبي الحد الأدنى من حقوقهم. فغياب المشروع الاقتصادي العربي في زمن تحول الصراعات من جيو سياسية إلى جيو إقتصادية. يؤدي إلى تغييب العرب عن الساحة الدولية دون المساهمة في التطور الإنساني والحضاري. كل هذا يؤدي إلى فقدان القيمة الحضارية للعرب وإلى عدم احترام الغرب لهم.
القوة اليوم، هي في الميدان الاقتصادي، والحروب القادمة هي معارك يتطاحن فيها الأقوياء للسيطرة على مقتدرات العالم الاقتصادي. السيدة الحقيقية هي في الأمن الاقتصادي الذي يتحول عالمياً إلى السلاح الأخطر في يد الشركات الدولية العملاقة التي أصبحت صاحبة القرار على الصعيد العالمي.
أصبح مصير الاقتصادات العالمية والوطنية، يتقرر في الأسواق المالية، وليس في الحكومات والبرلمانات المنتخبة.
لذلك علينا أن نتحضر، في حال استمر العرب على حالهم، لتسليم قيادتنا إلى من سيقرر عاجلاً أم آجلاً قيمة نقدناً، وأسعار الطاقة والنقل والغذاء والمواد الأولية وغيرها.
هذه هي المعركة الحقيقية التي بدأ رفيق الحريري التحضير لمواجهتها عبر مشروعه الاقتصادي العربي القادر وحده في الظروف الدولية الحاية على قيادة عملية التنمية العربية المتكاملة التي ستعيد للعرب القدرة على مواجهة المشاريع التي تستهدفهم. وبطبيعة الحال لهذا المشروع مرتكزات دينية وإقتصادية حاول معظم الكتاب، وبلغة علمية صادقة الإضاءة عليها.
