"لا تقولي للهوى كلاّ وكلاً، الهوى في مهجتينا قد تجلّى، لوعة الشوق جحيم في الحنايا، وصداها من عيوني قد أطلاّ، اسألي عنها ضلوعي فيه تشكو، واحكمي في الأمر إنصافاً وعدلا، قد كتمنا الحب فينا وتعبنا وابتلينا بالنوى صبحاً وليلا، وسترنا من هوانا ما قدرنا، فافتضحنا في الهوى لمّا أهلاّ، فأنيبي واستجيبي أطلقي، من قيود الخوف أنغاماً وسحرا، واسكبيه في رحيقي وخذيه، من رطابي نشوه تسري وخمرا، وازرعيه في جنان الوصل وداً، وانثريه في الورى عطراً وزهرا، قد عشقنا هذه أقدارنا تُملى علينا ورضينا الحب قهرا، سوف نشدو في هيامٍ بهوانا، ونغني للهوى سرّاً وجهرا".
عبد العزيز خوجة تجربة شعرية متألقة جمعة بين متانة المبنى وبين عذوبة المعنى، وهي إلى هذا جمعت بين قديم الشعر ومحدثه، فأعطى عبد العزيز خوجة بذلك برهاناً على أن للشاعر حالات ينطلق من خلالها وراء شاعرية لا تحول دونها أية حدود. وهو في ذلك الشاعر الذي يأخذ قارئه إلى عالم الحالم حيناً، الواقعي أحياناً، والمتماوج بشتى المعاني في كل الأحيانا، يأخذه في نشوة شعرية يغيم معها في موسيقى تتردد أصداؤها داخل ذاتها المنشية مع تلك السيالات الشعرية اللامتناهية.
