يقول الكاتب في المقدمة التي يفتتح بها عمله هذا: "... أن لكل إنسان تصنيفاً لمراحل حياته يبدي منها ويخفي ولا يملك أحياناً إلا أن يبكي مداداً .. فتسكب نفسه من طرف قلمه .. وما يحسن بعدُ لملمتها. وهي أحاديث قلب آخرها الشعور الذي أجده وأنا أجهد نفسي في كتابة مقدمة لهذه الأحاديث .. وهي فصول ... ربيع مورق بالأمل .. وصيف يشتعل حرماناً .. وخريف شاحب الأماني .. وشتاء بارد الحظ .. إنها ترجمة لمعاناة انتهت في فترة مضت ما استطعت الإفصاح عنها وأنى لي فكانت هذه الأحاديث بين الفينة والأخرى البلسم الذي لم يكن يراه إلا بعض أصفياء فؤادي .. يا معشر القراء".
