يلتمس الشاعر أو الأديب صياغة جديدة للعالم فيرسم بكلماته وأحاسيسه صورة يحشد لها كل إمكانياته. فلا يقف عند حد قبل أن يتجاوز حدود الواقع الذي تمرد عليه وانفلت منه، وجان داود في الضبع الديمقراطية لا يفصل بين الثورة والحب فجمعهما معاً في كتابات حرة لا يتسرب إليها الوهم أو الخوف، شلال من الصور الحسبية المتدفقة ترسم ملامح الحياة الجديدة، حيث (فضاء آخر يغمرنا، يرمينا بعلامته ثيران مزرعة) وحيث يتقوقع الضبع المبدع في غبائه فيجد الملاذ في الثرثرة، تقوقع في غبائه، سقط في اختبار الارتقاء.
وجد ملاذه في الثرثرة أعجب فاستقطب أشباهاً دوناً من ناس، ومع ما يكتنف العالم وإذا يسحق المبدع وينزوي في الظلام تنعتق روح لتمسك بالمستقبل: روح تنعتق غداً نسمة أو ضوءاً هي وحدها المستقبل.
وبلغته المكثفة يفكك جان داود صورة الضبع المبدع الذي تقوقع في غبائه الذي اغتصبوا له لقب مبرع فبرع في الأكاذيب وفي الممالأة تقوقع في غبائه، سقط في اختبار الارتقاء، وجد ملاذه في الثرثرة ، أعجب، فاستقطب أشباهاً دوناً من ناس تمت فيه السخرية حقداً فكانت له عصابة، صفقوا بطبل وزمر، اغتصبوا له لقب مبدع.
