هذا هو الكتاب الأول من السلسلة الحديثة لتعليم الأطفال المنغوليين، وهو يأتي في ستة فصول يعّرف أولها بالطفل المنغولي، ويبين بشكل مبسط الأسباب المحتملة للإصابة بالمنغولية.
أما الفصل الثاني فيشرح المشاكل الجسمية والعقلية التي تؤثر على مهارة التكلم لدى الأطفال المنغوليين.
ويدور الفصل الثالث حول تنمية مهارات الطفل المنغولي الأساسية السابقة للنطق، بدءاً من الأشهر الأولى من عمره.
في حين يعالج الفصل الرابع قواعد عامة، يستحسن مراعاتها أثناء تعليم الطفل المنغولي الكلام، لكي يرتفع مردود الطفل، وتسهل مهمة من يقوم بتدريبه.
أما الفصل الخامس، فيبين أهم الاختبارات التي يمكن تطبيقها لاكتساب صورة واقعية واضحة عن إمكانيات الطفل النطقية، وتحديد مستواه لوضع برنامج تدريبي مناسب، كما تساعد هذه الاختبارات على كشف اضطرابات اللفظ لدى الطفل، بغية تصحيحها.
ويشرح الفصل السادس كيفية تعليم الطفل المنغولي تقليد الأصوات كمرحلة أولى سابقة للنطق، أما الفصلان السابع والثامن فيبينان طريقة تدريب الطفل على نطق كلمة، ثم جملة مؤلفة من كلمتين وأكثر.
يُلاحظ من تسلسل الفصول بأن برنامج الكتاب وُضع لتعليم الطفل المنغولي النطق بالطريقة ذاتها التي يتعلم بها الطفل الطبيعي الكلام، ففي البدء يكتسب الطفل المهارات الأساسية اللازمة للنطق، وبعد ذلك يتعلم الطفل إصدار أصوات تأخذ تدريجياً شكل كلمات مفردة ذات معنى. تلي ذلك مرحلة ربط هذه الكلمات مع بعضها بعضاً، لتشكيل جمل قصيرة من كلمتين، تليها مرحلة تزداد فيها الجمل اكتمالاً وطولاً لتضم ثلاث كلمات فأكثر. وبهذه الطريقة تتطور لغة الطفل المنغولي بشكل طبيعي تتناسب وإمكانياته.
