من الملاحظ عدم توفّر كتب باللغة العربية عن الأطفال المنغوليين، تشرح كُنهَ إصابتهم، والمشاكل الجسمية والعقلية الناجمة عن هذه الإصابة، وكيفية التغلّب عليها، وهذا ما يعالجه هذا الكتاب وهو الثالث من السلسلة الحديثة لتعليم الأطفال المنغوليين، الموجّه بالدرجة الأولى لعائلات هؤلاء الأطفال، والذي عالج فيه المؤلف فيه سبل التربية الحديثة المطبقة في العديد من البلدان على هؤلاء الأطفال المنغوليين، كما وضمّن هذا الكتاب الخبرة التي جناها وزوجته خلال العشر سنوات السابقة في تربية ابنهما عادل المصاب بالمنغولية.
يعرّف الفصل الأول القارئَ بشكل مقتضب بالإصابة بالمنغولية، وأسبابها، وآثارها الجسمية والعقلية.
وبما أنّ الهدف من برنامج التدخّل المبكّر هو تدريب الطفل المنغولي لمساعدته على إتقان المهارات الحركية التي يكتسبها الطفل الطبيعي من نفسه، لذا لا بدّ من التعرّف على هذه المهارات التي يؤديها الطفل الطبيعي في السنين الأولى من حياته، وهو ما يعالجه الفصل الثاني.
أمّا الفصل الثالث فيبحث في تطوّر الطفل المنغولي بالمقارنة مع الطفل الطبيعي.
يعطي الفصل الرابع فكرة عن مضمون برنامج التدخّل المبكّر، ومدّته، ومستوياته الزمنية الخاصّة بالحركات الكبيرة والحركات الدقيقة.
يختم الفصل الخامس الكتاب بشرح مفصّل لخطَّة التدريب التي يشملها برنامج التدخل المبكّر لجميع مستويات عمر الطفل، خلال السنوات الأربع الأولى، حيث تشمل كل وحدة من وحدات التدريب، سواء أكان ذلك للحركات الكبيرة أو الحركات الدقيقة، على المهارات التي يجب أن يتقن الطفل أداءها، والتمارين المقترحة لمساعدة الطفل على اكتساب هذه المهارات.
يحتوي الكتابُ على عددٍ كبير من الصور والأشكال، التي تبيِّنُ مختلف الحركات والتمارين التي يجريها الطفل كجزءٍ من البرنامج.
