لا يخفى على المتأمل أن القرآن الكريم هو الكتاب السماويّ الوحيد الذي تعهدت المشيئة الإلهية بحفظه وصيانته من التحريف بكل أشكاله وصوره، كما في قوله تعالى: (إنا نحن نزلنا الذكر وإنّا له لحافظون)...
فبقي القرآن الكريم إلهياً في متنه تطفح عليه آثار الربوبية فتتصدع لمعانيه قلوب العارفين، وتخشع لحقائقه نفوس المؤمنين لما أروع فيه من المعارف الربانية والأسرار الحقانية التي لا يعلم تأويلها إلا الله والراسخون في العلم، فهو البحر الخضمّ الذي لا تدرك أعماقه ولا تنتهي أبعاده، فتجد المسلمين ومن أول زمان نزوله أكبّوا على دراسته وتفسيره وتحقيق علومه، فبذلوا في هذا المجال جهوداً مضنية متحفين في ذلك المكتبة الإسلامية بأنواع التصانيف التي تبحث في علوم القرآن الكريم وجوانبه المختلفة.
من هنا، يأتي هذا الكتاب الذي يدفع المؤلف من خلاله شبهة تحريف القرآن الكريم بصورة قاطعة وبأسلوب علميٍّ حديث، وكشف فيه الستار عن جملة الحقائق المهمة حول القرآن الكريم، والتي ظلت ولا تزال مورداً لإختلاف الأنظار بين المحققين من علماء الإسلام، بالإضافة إلى ذلك، فقد عالج المؤلف في كتابه هذا موضوعات أخرى اقتضتها ضرورة البحث من قبيل: جمع القرآن الكريم، ونزول القرآن الكريم على سبعة أحرف، ونسخ التلاوة.
ويستعرض، وإلى جانب ذلك، الروايات التي تضمنت نصوصاً تنسب إلى القرآن الكريم، مع مخالفتها للنصّ القرآني الواقعي، أو كونها ليست من القرآن الكريم في شيء، كما وعالج المؤلف في كتابه هذا موضوع إختلاف اللهجات والقراءات وغير ذلك من موضوعات، لها مساس بموضوع تحريف القرآن الكريم إثباتاً أو نفياً.
هذا وبما أن الحديث عن مقولة تحريف القرآن الكريم يستدعي ذكر نماذج مما يشير أو يُدَّعى؛ إنه يشير إلى ذلك... فإن القارئ سيجد أن القسم الأعظم من الروايات، التي اعتبرت أدلة أو شواهد لدعوى التحريف منتشراً في هذا الكتاب، ومثبوتاً في مختلف فصوله وأبوابه، وإلى هذا، فإن المؤلف يدعو القارئ إلى إستقصاء ما ورد في هذا الكتاب، من نصوص، وأفكار، وتحليلات، وشواهد، يساعده إستنطاقها على إستكناه الحقيقة، وحصحصة الحق.
