التطرّف: مرض العصر؟ ربما يكون كذلك. التطرّف: يبدو، في اللحظة الراهنة، ملكاً على عرش الغبار في الأرض المريضة. وتبدو المرحلة الحضارية التي نعيش حاضنته بامتياز وهو يكشف، بصورة عميقة، عن بعض أزمات حداثة عولمية لم تصل، بعدُ، إلى نهاية سعيدة للتاريخ الأرضي. في كل مكان حديث عن التطرّف. في كل مكان خوفٌ متزايد من نتائجه المدمرة. كأنه التنين ذو الأوجه السبعة الذي ظل يتربص بالمسافر، أو كأنه ظهر ذلك الوحش البحري الذي لجأ إليه البحّارة اليائسون بعد تحطم سفينتهم ليكتشفوا ورطتهم الفادحة كما أشار إلى ذلك نيتشه ذات يوم. هذا يعني أن التطرّف ما فتىء يعرفُ، جيداً، كيف يتسلل إلى حياتنا من الشقوق والتصدعات في جدران مدنيتنا الحديثة التي أهملت العدالة واحترام الإنسان وغرقت في الصراع الأهوج من أجل الهيمنة. ولكننا لن نوافق. بكل تأكيد. على النظر إليه باعتباره سبباً لمتاعبنا الحالية أو لجحيم العنف الذي نشهد وإنما بوصفه، أولاً وقبل كل شيء نتيجة. التطرّف نتيجة وليس اختياراً أو سبباً أول يتحكم بخيوط الفوضى التي تصنع تراجيديا العالم. إنه علامة أزمة. ومن الأنسب أن تقرأ الأزمة المعقدة في سياقها الثقافي والحضاري بعيداً عن كل روح اختزالية لا تنظر إلا إلى الجزء الظاهر من الجبل الجليدي.
