ثلاث سنوات وأكثر، كانت محوراً لمقاربات كثيرة لم تكتمل حتى النهاية، لكن أُدخِلَتْ شخصياتها في مواقف حقيقية، تفرض نفسها على الحاضر بالمعنى السوسيولوجي، وخصوصاً في كتابة جزء من الأشياء، أو الأحداث، أو الوقائع والتفاصيل المحلية، وأخرى عابرة للحدود، كطريقة للكلام على العالم.
لبنان جزء من هذا العالم، وكاد يكون جزءاً من خرابه، ومن موت روحه، وأحلامه، ومقاصده، في أمور كثيرة جرت مناقشتها ومواجهتها لحمايته، كجزء من التجربة السياسية والإختلاف بين زمنين، ولكل شخصية في الكتاب موقع ومقام وحسابات وممارسة ثقافية.
