إن أنصار "أبي عبد الله" رضي الله عنه صنفان صنف هم أهل بيته من أبنائه وإخوانه وأبناء إخوته وعمومته، وهم الهاشميون، وصنف هم الأنصار غير الهاشميين، وفي هذا الجزء الثاني من معجم أنصار "الحسين" من دائرة المعارف الحسينية الكبرى يواصل الشيخ "محمد صادق محمد الكرباسي" عرضه لهؤلاء الأنصار؛ بادئاً بحرف الباء بعد أن استعرض في الجزء الأول الأنصار في حرف الألف خاتماً هذا الجزء بحرف العين؛ مدوناً منه السيرة الذاتية والإجتماعية والعلمية لكل منهم، تاركاً بالطبع سيرهم في كربلاء وإفتداءهم للإمام الحسين لباب السيرة.
وقام بعرض الإختلافات الواردة في كتب السيرة والتاريخ للبعض من تلك الأسماء مبرزاً لبعض الشبهات التي وقع فيها بعض من دوّن تلك السيرة، لافتاً إلى التصحيف الذي حصل لبعض الأسماء، ليصل في الختام إلى تثبيت الأسماء وتحديد من حضر كربلاء منهم ومن لم يحضر ومن استشهد ومن أصيب بالجراح ولم يستشهد.
