إن الطب علم عظم نفعه وقدره، وعلا شرفه وفخره، واشتهر فضله وذكره، وثبت في الشرع أصله، وشهد بصحته الكتاب والسنة، فأجمع على ذلك كافة الأمة. فقد صح أنه صلى الله عليه وسلم تداوى وأمر بالتداوي ولم تزل الصحابة على ذلك من بعده رضي الله عنهم أجمعين. وقد وضع في هذا العلم الكثير من التآليف وكان كتاب شفاء الأجسام للإمام محمد بن أبي الغيث الكمراني بالإضافة إلى كتاب "الرحمة" للحكيم المقري مهدي الصبري رحمهما الله، فعمد مصنف هذا الكتاب الذي نقلب صفحاته إلى نسخ مقاصد هذين الكتابين وغيرهما مختصراً ملخصاً مشتملاً على ما يسهل استعماله من الأدوية السهلة، ولم يذكر شيئاً من الأدوية المعدومة أو المجهولة عند أهل عصر مصنف هذا الكتاب.
