يجمع كتاب "تسهيل المنافع في الطب والحكمة" بين طياته كتابين هما لأشهر عالمين في الطب والتداوي في القرن التاسع الهجري هما المشتمل على شفاء الأجسام وكتاب الرحمة وشفاء الأجسام، حيث قسمها المصنف إلى خمسة مواضيع جاءت على التقسيم التالي: القسم الأول: في أشياء من علم الطبيعة والأمر بالتداوي، القسم الثاني: في تفسير الحبوب وطبائع الأغذية والأدوية ومنافعها. القسم الثالث: فيما يصلح للبدن في حال الصحة وقد ضمّن المؤلف هذا القسم أحاديث وردت عن سيدنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم في الطب والعديد من الوصايا التي أوردها الحكماء، أما القسم الرابع: فجاء حول علاج العلل الخاصة بكل عضو مخصوصاً بأعضاء الجسد، أما القسم الخامس والأخير فيتناول بدراسة علاجات الأمراض العامة المتنقلة في البدن.
جعل المؤلف كتابه هذا في الطب وأكثر ما فيه ليس من باب الحمية بل من التداوي ميسور الحصول عليه . وقسمه خمسة اقسام : 1- في اشياء من علم الطبيعة والامر بالتداوي والحمية، 2- في تفسير الحبوب وطبائع الاغذية والادوية (مختصرا في بعضها مطولا في آخر اسب الفائدة) كاللحم والثوم والماء وغيرها 3- فيما يصلح للبدن في حال الصحةكالمهضمات والمشهيات، وادوية المغص وغيره، 4- في كل عضو مخصوص من اعضاء الانسان وامراضه وادويته، 5- في الامراض العامة المنتقلة في البدن كالحمى والصرع وأفراد كلاما للجنون والكابوس والسكتة والبرص والعشق والسموم واصابة العين والرقى وعسر الولادة,
