من أجل تحصين جيل... لدى معظم، وربما جميع المثقفين والساسة من القومين العرب وحركات المقاومة - إنْ لم أكن مخطئاً - ظلّ عزمي بشارة إسماً طبيعياً، كمثقف أو ككاتب أو حزبي، بل وحصل على إعجاب وصل حد الإنبهار لدى البعض، لم يأبه هؤلاء لكونه عضواً في البرلمان الصهيوني، حتى بالنسبة لأولئك الذين يزعمون أنهم لا يعترفون بالكيان الصهيوني، فالإعتراف بالكيان سواء من نظام حكم أو إتجاه إيديولوجي أو مثقف فرد، يفتح على ثلاث ثغرات خطرة على المجتمع العربي ومهامه النضالية الثقيلة المقبلة:
-وهو غضٌ للطرف عن عضوية عرب في الكنيست (برلمان الكيان)، بل إظهار البعض لهذه العضوية كنضال وطني.
-غضّ للطرف عن معنى الإعتراف بالكيان، وتجاهل أن هذا الإعتراف نقيض حتى العودة بلا مواربة.
-الخضوع لخطاب القوى الإمبريالية المسيطرة / المهيمنة عالمياً - من حيث رؤيته للكيان كبلد طبيعي - على العرب التوقف عن التجهيز لمقارعته.
(...) لكن بعد أن هاجر عزمي إلى قطر، يَرِدُ السؤال: لماذا خرج، ولماذا احتفت به قطاعات من العروبة كبطل إلى درجة عدم الجرأة على تصديق أنه رحل، ولم يُنْفَ؟ وكان رأيي الذي سبق وكتبته، أن الرجل خرج في مهمة تطبيعية، بهدفِ أن يعود بعدها وقد ساهم في تطبيع العرب جميعاً، لا سيّما وأنّ معظم الأنظمة العربية جاهزة لذلك... ولكن عزمي وقيادة الكيان، وأعتقدُ مخابراته تحديداً، قد استفادوا من تجربة كوهن (كمال سليم ثابت)، بمعنى أنّ عميلاً بهذا الحجم يجب أن يُحمى حينما ينكشف أمره، لا سيما وأنه ينغرس في كل الوطن العربي، لذا تمّ اختيار بلدٍ مأمون المناخ الأمني والسياسي والثقافي والعسكري، وهو قطّر.
هناك لن يطول الرجلَ أحدٌ مهما فعل، وهناك المكان الطبيعي ليواصل دوره في تخريب الوعي السياسي للشارع العربي باسم القومية وعبر فضائية الجزيرة.
بعبارة أخرى؛ صار مطلوباً من الرجل أن يذهب إلى الميدان، وصار من حقّه أعلى حماية ممكنة...
