إن منظومة كمال جنبلاط الفكرية الفلسفية والدينية تنطلق من نقطة محورية هي نقطة البيكار، أو مركز الدائرة التي تدور حولها كل أبحاثه ومؤلفاته وكتاباته، حتى السياسية منها.
هذه النقطة المحورية هي العقل الأرفع الذي هو بمثابة حجر الرحى في إبداعات هذا المفكر الموسوعي، فالعقل الأرفع الذي يستمدّه جنبلاط من معتقد التوحيد في تقاطعه مع الهندوسية ومفهوم الأتمان الكلي، ومن الهرمسية الرافدة للعقيدة الفاطمية، ومن اللوغوس أو الكلة الأزلية عند حكماء الأغريق.
نقول إن هذا العقل "ساحر الكون الأرفع الذي يظهر شفافاً في كل الأشياء"، يظهر شفافاً كذلك في كل أبحاثه ومقارباته الفلسفية والدينية.
فنظرية المعرفة وتعدِّي الماركسية، ترتكز إلى مفهوم الجوهر الثابت للوجود، اي مفهوم العقل الأرفع المتعالي على المعرفة الحسية - التجريبية.
والجدلية الحكمية وتعدي الجدلية المادية ترتكز إليه أيضاً، ونظرية الخلق والتكوين عنده، توائم بين دور هذا العقل في إنبثاق الوجود من النقطة النورانية الأولى او الهيولى اللدنية الأولى، وبين النظريات الفيزيائية الحديثة القائلة بالإنفجار الكوني العظيم من الذرة الأساسية الأولى، نقطة الكون ومركزه.
والتصوف العرفاني عنده يتمحور حول هذا العقل لأنه مصدر الإستنارة والحكمة والوحي، فالتصوف الحقيقي حكمة، والحكمة هي علم العقل الأرفع في ما يعنيه، حتى السياسة عنده هي من شرعة العقل الأرفع في معناها الأصيل وفي قصدها اليوناني الحكمي.
كلمة أخيرة لا بد منها، وهي أن الملاحظات التي سقناها في مقارباتنا المنهجية لفكره، لا تمنع من القول، فالحق يُقال: إن كمال جنبلاط مفكر موسوعي وصاحب رؤية إستشرافية لا تتكرّر في الزمن القصير.
هناك عبارة عند الموحدين لا يعرف مدلولها إلاَّ المتقدمون في الحكمة، وهي تعنيه بقدر ما تعني الذين سبقوه، إنه حقاً "ضيف الزمان".
