كتاب أجمع فيه ثقافة الضيعة التي نشأت فيها، خصوصاً في فترة الطفولة التي لا تشبه طفولة أبناء القرى أو المدن اليوم، وطريقة عيش الناس وتفاعلهم، وما يرد فيه هو ما عشته شخصياً، ومحتواه شبيه بشكل ما بكتابَيْ الدكتور أنيس فريحه، "اسمع يا رضا" و "القرية اللبنانية، حضارة في طريق الزوال"، والدكتور أنيس فريحه (من رأس المتن) أديب ومؤرخ وألسني كبير، ومن الفخر التشبه به.
وقد وصف ضيعتنا التي تزوجت إليها خالته، في كتابه "اسمع يا رضا"، بالقول: "قرية بعيدة في آخر المعمورة، في سهل البقاع، قرية تختبئ عند سفح جبل لبنان الشرقي...".
هو تناول القرية اللبنانية الجبلية، وأنا أتناول القرية اللبنانية "السهلية"... صفات كثيرة تجمع بينهما، لكن ثمَّة فروقاً بين الإثنتين أيضاً.
