التصوير الفني في القرآن الكريم، هو ظاهرة فنية في هذا الكتاب العظيم، اتخذها وسيلة للتعبير عن أغراضه الدينية فاقترن فيها الجمال بالعقيدة، وهو من الدراسات القرآنية ذات الطابع النقدي الحيوي.
لقيت هذه الفكرة النقدية عناية فائقة من لدن ناقد يمتاز برهافة الحس وشفافية الروح، تعلق بها، وأمضى في دراستها والكتابة على هديها حقبة طويلة من عمره، ذلك هو الناقد الأديب سيد قطب، فجاءت على يده، وفي مجال الدراسات القرآنية بناءً متماسكاً، قائماً بذاته، قابلاً للتطبيق بصورة أو بأخرى في فنون الأدب العربي.
نوقش الكتاب الموسوم (التصوير الفني في القرآن الكريم) لـ"سيد قطب" ضمن مجموعة أخرى من الكتب في مادة (التعبير القرآني) خلال السنة التحضيرية المؤلف لنيل شهادة الدكتوراه لهذا أتخذ فكرة هذا الكتاب بحثاً لنيل هذه الشهادة، كما كان متعلقاً بكتاب لمبدع النظرية، هو الكتاب الموسوم (النقد الأدبي، أصوله ومناهجه) الذي شدته أفكاره الكثيرة منها فكرتان مهمتان هما: الصورة الفنية وظلال الكلمات، عرضهما المؤلف بأسلوب جذاب مستعيداً في عرضه إباهما بأمثلة من كتابه "التصوير الفني"...
لهذا كله قام بدراسة هذا الموضوع فوجهه إلى التمهيد بدراسة كتاب الدكتور "شوقي ضيف" (البلاغة تطور وتأريخ) وكتاب "محمد زغلول سلام" (أثر القرآن في تطور النقد العربي) لفائدتهما الجليلة في مجاليهما، ولصلة محتواهما بالبحث، وقد قسم البحث على مقدمة وتمهيد وثلاثة فصول وخاتمة، ودرس في الفصل الأول نشأة الفكرة وأسس النظرية، وفي الفصل الثاني خصائصها، وفي الفصل الثالث عناصرها عند القدامى، وأثر العصر الحديث فيها.
