إن لوحة الطرد جزء أصيل في بنية كثير من قصائد الشعر العربي القديم؛ ظهر في أقدم النماذج المتفق على صحة نسبتها إلى عصر ما قبل الإسلام، والتي لم تطلها شبهة النحل، مثل ما حدث مع قسم كبير من الشعر المنسوب إلى ذلك العصر. من هنا اختار الدكتور جبير صالح القرغولي العودة إلى النبع الأصيل الثر (ديوان الهذليين) ، مستعيناً بكتاب الأستاذ الدكتور أحمد زكي الموسوم بـ (شعر الهذليين في العصر الجاهلي والإسلامي) ليكتشف أن (هذيل) مدرسة فنية عريقة، تخرّج منها تلميذ مبدع نجيب هو "أبو ذؤيب" فأبدع (عينية أبي ذويب) وفي العينية صور عدة للصراع، تؤكد كلها حتمية الفناء. وتتكرر هذه الصورة في قصيدة أخرى للشاعر، لذلك كله ارتأى مؤلف الكتاب دراسة صورة الصراع في مجالي التأثر والتأثير معنوناً كتابه بـ (حيوية صورة الصراع في لوحة الطرد في الشعر العربي: عينية أبي ذؤيب نموذجاً) وجعل التمهيد لتسليط الضوء على المؤثرات الخارجية التي تفعل فعلها في النص، من خلال تأثيرها في المبدع، مثل البيئة وتأثيرها في نشاط هذيل الإقتصادي وفي علاقاتها الإجتماعية. أما الفصل الأول فخصص لدراسة صورة الصراع الطردي في شعر أبي ذؤيب، منطلقاً من العنية، مُحلللاً وموازناً إياها بقصيدة طردية أخرى للشاعر، وأما الفصل الثاني فانطلق في بنائه من السعي إلى كشف العوامل التي أسهمت في صياغة الخطوط العريضة لعالم ابي ذؤيب الشعري، وفي لوحة الطرد تحديداً، فوجد عدداً غير قليل من القصائد الطردية لشعراء هذليين، سابقين ومعاصرين للشاعر مدار البحث، فيها خصائص شعورية وتعبيرية متشابهة، تكفي لتكون دليلاً على القول "أن لهذيل تقاليدها الشعرية الخاصة". وأما الفصل الثالث فيؤكد خصوصية القصيدة الطردية عند هذيل، من خلال عرض المؤلف نماذج لقصص طردية من خارج بيئتها، ممتدة منذ أقدم النصوص الشعرية المتفق على صحتها، وتشمل قصائد لأشهر شعراء العصر الجاهلي ...
