تحدث الكثير من المفكرين بنوعية الترميز الجمالي وكيفية حصوله، ودلالاته الفلسفية والجمالية، وتخصص البعض في ذلك الحديث بنمطٍ معين من رمز الجمال، منها ما كان يخص التصوير (الرسم) ومنها النحت والشعر والموسيقى وغيرها من الفنون والآداب وقد تحولت هذه الأفكار إلى عوالم جديدة ومتشعبة في المعنى العام لها وفي الفهم المرمز الذي يؤطرها ويتبعها، فكوّن ذلك طرائق شتى ومختلفة، أحدثت فيما بعد مناهجاً لها، ابتعدت كثيراً عن الغاية منها، من هنا عمل الأستاذ الدكتور كريم حميدي الربيعي على تقديم دراسة هي بمثابة "رؤية في فهم الترميز الجمالي للفلسفات الوضعية والأديان" تعرفنا بجميع الأفكار القديمة وحدود جمالها ورموزها في إفاضة المطلق العظيم.. هو (الله) الموجود بلا مشاهدة ولا سمع، بل بفطرة الإحساس به والشعور والجمال والحب فيه.
وانطلاقاً من تلك الرؤية فقد تم للمؤلف تقسيم الدراسة الى ثلاثة فصول الأول منها: علامات فهم الواجد ورموزه الأولى، بينما تناول الثاني: معاني جمال الواجد تجاه الموجود، وبحث الثالث في: علامات الجمال في الأفكار الوضعية والدينية العليا وهي: البوذية والكونغوشيوشية والهندوسية والتيوباديسا والجانستية والشنتويهة والتاوية والزرادشتية والموسوية والمسيحية والإسلام.
