في ظل غياب المعايير والأسس التي يُعتمد عليها في إعداد مدرسي التربية الفنية في العراق، يضع الدكتور كريم حميدي الربيعي دراسة تهدف إلى بناء معيار لإعداد مدرسّي التربية الفنية للمرحلة المتوسطة والثانوية في كليات التربية الفنية وأقسام التربية الفنية في كليات الفنون الجميلة في الجامعات العراقية.
ووفقاً للدكتور الربيعي "جاءت هذه الدراسة لتعبّر ميدانياً عن الحاجة إلى تربية النشىء وتعليمه بما يحقق غاية وأهداف المؤسسات التربوية التعليمية في العراق، من خلال بناء معيار لإعداد مدرسي التربية الفنية التي برزت مشكلته بوضوح كونه يعتريه القصور من حيث "النوع والكم" بسبب قصور المعايير والأسس التي يعتمد عليها في إعداده، ولتكون هذه المؤسسات السباقة في اعتماد هذا المعيار منهجاً عملياً لإدخاله مع برامج إعداد مدرس التربية الفنية ليصبح عوناً له في مهمته للتدريس في المدارس المتوسطة والثانوية والإعدادية".
اعتمدت الدراسة المعايير الأكاديمية المعروفة في البحث التربوي من حيث بناء المعيار – عينة البحث – أدوات البحث – والوسائل الإحصائية، فضلاً عن الإطار النظري الذي يبرز أهمية الموضوع وأسباب اختياره. وبعد تبلور الصورة النهائية لبناء المعيار من خلال مراحل الفصول التي تناولها الباحث تحليلاً ومناقشة، استنتج الباحث بعض السس الضرورية لبناء شخصية (علمية، مهنية، ثقافية) لمدرس التربية الفنية. تم الوصول إليها من خلال إجابات أفراد عينة البحث وهي ثلاثة اختتم بها الباحث دراسته مع الشرح والتفسير، 1- المعيار العلمي، 2- المعيار المهني، 3- المعيار الثقافي، وتأتي توصيات الباحث في ختام الدراسة لتؤكد أهمية وضرورة اعتماد المعايير العلمية والمهنية والثقافية في إعداد مدرسي التربية الفنية كوحدة متكاملة لا يتم معنى مفهوم الإعداد إلا بهما معاً، وخاصة عند وضع المناهج الدراسية.
