أثناء تتبعي لتراث علماء القطيف، المخطوط بشكل عام، وتراث أسرةِ آل عبد الجبار العلميّة بوجهِ خاصِّ، وبمساعدةِ سماحةِ الشيخ حسنِ الصفّار - حفظه الله -، تم لقائي بالحاج الأستاذ محمّد عليّ ابن المرحومِ الملّا عبد المهدي الجشّي – حفظه الله - سليلُ الأسرة العلميّة التي كان لها شأنٌ كبيرٌ في القطيفِ إبَانَ القرنين الثالث عشر والرابع عشر الهجريّين، حيث كانت أُسرتُهُ تمتلكُ مجموعةُ منَ المخطوطاتِ لعلماءِ القطيفِ وخارجِها، وفيها جمٌّ من مصنّفات الشيخ محمّدِ بنِ الشيخِ عبد عليِّ آل عبد الجبّارِ، فقد دوُنَ سماحَةُ المرحوم العلّامة فرج العمران في كتابه الأزهار (27 عنواناً) للشيخ محمّدِ بن عبدِ الجبّارِ رآها عندَ الملّا عبدِ المهدي الجشِّيّ، وقد كنتُ متشوّقاً لرؤيةِ ذلك التراثِ العلميّ لأحدِ علماءِ المنطقةِ.
زرتُهُ فكانَ قلبُهُ ومنزلُهُ أوسعَ منَ الدنيا في استقبالي والترحيبِ بي ولقدِ اطّلعتُ على جمعٍ كبيرٍ من تلك المخطوطات، وكان من أمنياتي أن أقفَ على إجازة الشيخ محمّد بنِ عبدِ الجبّارِ للطَبَسّيّ المذكورةِ في الأزهارِ فقطّ، وبالفعلِ رأيتُها وكانت فرحتي بها كبيرةُ، فهي أصلُ وبخطُ أحد تلامذتِه، وهو السيّدُ مكيُّ الخَطُيُّ، وفي الوقت ذاتِهِ أصابني نوعٌ من الإنقباض في النفسِ بعد أنْ عاينْتُ حجمها، وأنَّها منَ الإجازاتِ المختصرة جدّاً، إذ لا تتعدّى أربعَ صفحاتٍ!!...
وكنتُ أظنُّها وأتمنَّاها إجازة من الإجازات الطّوالِ بحجمِ إجازة (السماهيجيّ للجاروديّ) فتكون لنا فتحاً لكثيرٍ من تراجمِ العلماء، ولكن هذا هو الواقعُ.
