- الترجمة والتعريب أحد الروافد المهمة لدعم مسيرة التطور العلمي والثقافي والتنموي، وهي تعاني من مشكلات عدة، منها توثيق كتابة الأسماء المعربة والترجمات المتعددة؛ والكتاب يسعى في معالجته هذه المشكلة إلى الربط بين مفهوم التوثيق وإجراءاته المتبعة في معالجة الكتب والمعلومات، وبين نشاط الترجمة والتعريب.
وقد بني على فصول ثلاثة:
-الأول: وتناول منهج البحث المتبع لدراسة توثيق الترجمة والتعريب.
-الثاني: وتناول الدراسة التوثيقية، مستعرضاً بعض مشكلات الترجمة وحلولها المقترحة، وأثرها في تنظيم المعلومات.
-الثالث: وهو حصر ببليوجرافي لــ(115) أسماً ممن ترجمت أعمالهم إلى العربية، معرفاً بهم، وببعض كتبهم التي ترجمت.
-ضم الكتاب كشافاً ألفبائياً لأسماء المؤلفين بالحرف اللاتيني.
