تمثل النمذجة اليوم موضوعاً عاماً يهتمّ به المثقفون بإعتباره بديل المنهج التحليليّ، وقد كتب في هذه المسألة بجميع اللغات (الفرنسية والإنكليزية إلخ...) لكن اللغة العربية إستثناء في هذا المجال.
فأخذت على عاتقي، مساعدة بني وطني في ميدان موضوع السّاعة، فكتبت عدّة كتب والعديد من المقالات.
ويندرج هذا الكتاب في هذا الإهتمام بالذات، انطلقنا فيه من ضرورة وجود خلفية معرفية لكلّ نمذجة علمية ممكنة، بيد أنّه كان لزاماً علينا تحديد معنى النّموذج العلمي ومقارنته بمفاهيم مجاورة مثل البرادايم والمثال الأفلاطوني.
وانتهى البحث بالتأكيد أنّ النمذجة الرّياضية مرتبطة لا محالة بالمثالية المعرفية، أمّا النمذجة الفيزيائية (وما حذا حذوها) فهي قريبة جداً من تلك التي قال بها الفيلسوف الألماني، كانط.
