ولد جورج أوشاوا في اليابان ونشر نظام الماكروبيوتيك الذي شفاه من داء السل الرئوي قبل أن يبلغ العشرين من عمره.
نجح أوشاوا في نشر الماكروبيوتيك في العالم أجمع بمساعدة زوجته وتلامذته الذين نذكر منهم الرواد ميتشيو كوشي وإيهارا.
توفي في 23 أبريل 1966.
Book Description
ولد "جورج أوشاوا" مؤلف هذا الكتاب-واسمه الأصلي يوكيكازو، في كيوتو، عاصمة اليابان القديمة في 18 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 1883. ساهم أوشاوا مساهمة كبيرة في نقل حكمة الشرق الأقصى إلى العالم الغربي. فقد قضى ثلاثين عاماً من حياته يعرّف الأوروبيين إلى الثقافة الشرقية في الوقت نفسه الذي كان يعرّف فيه اليابانيين إلى ثقافة الغرب. كتب "جورج أوشاوا" أثناء حياته أكثر من 300 كتاب ودراسة. ويعد هذا المجلد الكتاب الأساس لفلسفة الماكروبيوتيك في الطب الشرقي (المداواة الشرقية)، إذ أنه يقدم للقارئ دليلا ً يشرح له أساليب سهلة تحول تعاسة الإنسان وشقاءه ومرضه إلى سعاة وصحة جيدة وعمر مديد. وبالتالي فإن ما في هذا الكتاب ليس إلا ترجمة "أوشاوا" لفلسفة الشرق الأقصى التي اعتراها الزيف والتغيير عبر الزمن.
