لقد جاء اختيار القاص الموصلي (هيثم بهنام بردى) ميداناً للدراسة لما تحمل القصة القصيرة جداً في المجاميع الأربع (حب مع وقف التنفيذ/ الليلة الثانية بعد الألف/ عزلة أنكيدو/ التماهي) من تقنيات فنية متماسكة إلى حد كبير، وقد تميز (المكان) في هذه القصص بوصفه أحد مرتكزات الفضاء الحكائي الذي يتماهى فيه الزمن تماهياً يصل إلى حد تكثيفه في المكان بشعرية متميزة في عرض الشخصية وتحميلها بلأفكار والتطلعات والأحلام، ولتحقيق إحساسها وهي في المكان لتعميق المشهد والارتقاء به عن طريق اللغة العالمية.
خصّت هذه الدراسة لتبحث في شعرية المكان عبر تحليل النصوص القصصية بالاعتماد على الثنائيات الضدّية للمكان لبيان الأبعاد الفنية والجمالية والكشف عن الدلالات التي تمخضت عنها.
