"الأبجدية ودلالاتها" عبور مكين في عوالم اللغة من مداخلها، يبدأ البحث من صوت الحرف ومخارج نطقه وترتيب مسمياته، وتأتي الدلالة من ضمن رؤية ومنهاج (آليين)، يستتبعان الحرف العربي ويكشفان ماضي مضامين الحرف عينه من إمكانات ودلالات ذاتية كامنه فيه. بنية الحرف ودلالاته واحدة لكشف الثنائيّ والثلاثيّ والزوائد. هذه رؤية كان بدأها عالم سبيط النيلي، لكنها لم تخرج عن مفهوم ما يسميه النيلي "القصدية" في اللغة مقابل "الاعتباطية". تركز القصدية على معاني حركات حروف أبجدية اللغة العربية، متناولة المعنى الحركي لكل حرف، توصلاً الى المعنى العام للكلمة الواحدة، مهما كان نوعها. وإذا كان النيلي توصل الى طبيعة حركات عشرة حروف في العربية، وتوفي دون استكمال معاني حروف الأبجدية كافة، فإن الباحث عاصم المصري عالج ما بدأه النيلي وزكي الأرسوزي وغيرهما، راداً استنطاق معانيها الى جدلية تناقض حروف مسمياتها ورابطاً جدلية الحرف بجدلية الكون، ليدل على أن سر الحرف كامن فيه. وتابع على مدى أكثر من عشرة اعوام جهد استكمال البحث عن معاني الحروف الثمانية عشرة المتبقية وتوصل الى دلالاتها الحركية العامة. فالحروف واللغة في كتاب "الأبجدية ودلالاتها" تأسيس متواصل ومفتوح لجدلية الحرف العربي. والآلية مغايرة لمناهج ومضامين المعاجم والقواميس العربية التقليدية السائدة. البحث ليس في تاريخية الحرف او معنى الكلمة أو الفعل؛ بل هو في عمق الدلالة وفي أساس تكوين الحرف عينه وطبيعته وتراكيبه. الكلمة على هذا الأساس الجديد هي التي تفصح عن ذاتها من خلال معرفة حركية حروفها وتراكيبها.
يعد هذا البحث محاولة جادة لفتح العقل العربي على مبدأ حركية الحياة اللغوية وإنقاذها من الجمود والمساهمة في بنائية الفكر المعاصر، وهو ما سيساهم لجعل لغة العرب اكثر نضارة وحيوية تحت الشمس.
