حياتنا عبارة عن مركب في بحر الدنيا، كل شخص يقود مركبه بما يريد.. فالطاعات هي الأمواج التي تقود إلى شاطئ رضا الله، والمعاصي هي من تدفع بالمركب إلى وسط البحر ليخوض في أمواج الفتن وأعاصيرها ليضيع في بحر الحياة.. فثبّت مركبك وقدهُ بما يرضي الله.
في ظل هذا المنظور الإيماني تكتب نوف إبراهيم رؤيتها للحياة والعلاقة مع الله، لذلك تخاطب القارئ قائلة: "اقرأه بعقلك وتجنّب مشاعر قلبك وتفكّر وتمعّن في معنى الحياة وما ثمّره عمرك الذي أمضيته فيها".
في الكتاب تتوجه المؤلفة إلى القارئ وتدعوه إلى تلمس منارة الحق والصراط المستقيم، وتحثه إلى تجنب رياح الفتن والمعاصي، وتشبه الحياة بسفينة تعبر محيط الزمان والمكان. ولإن "بعض الموج يساعد السفينة في الوصول إلى الشاطئ وبعضه الآخر يقذفها بعيداً عنه. في كتابي – تقول المؤلفة - تجدون بعضاً من تلك الأمواج التي تصل إلى شاطئ رضا الله وبعضها تبعدنا عنه، فثبّت سفينتك ولا تجعلها تتبع إلا ما يقربها من الله". وبهذا المعنى تشكل موضوعات الكتاب نوعاً من الوعظ والإرشاد والتربية والتوجيه التربوي للقارئ مستندة إلى تعاليم الشريعة الإسلامية، كما أنها تشكل وجهة نظر المؤلفة في الحياة الدنيوية والتهيئة للحياة الأخروية.
يتألف الكتاب من مقالات جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: 1- اجعل سياحتك دعوية، 2- يتحدث العديد من اللغات، 3- استثمر صغارك، 4- بالشكر تدوم النعم، 5- عبادة وليس عادة، 6- ماذا بقي من الرجال، 7- دولة إسلامية... ولكن!!، 8- شتان بينهما، 9- مواسم الخير، 10- نسعى للكمال. (...) وعناوين أخرى.
