يتعلم القارئ لهذا الكتاب في فصله الأول ما يجب عليه أن يتعلم لأن طلب العلم فريضة على كل مسلم ويتعلم معرفة الله ومعرفة نبيه ومعرفة دين الإسلام بالأدلة. ومن ثم يبين في الفصل الثاني كيف أن الإسلام قام على بناء المجتمع الإسلامي وتكوينه، وكذلك يتطرق لمكانة المرأة في الإسلام ووضعها في الحضارات الأخرى. ويوضح في الفصل الثالث العقيدة الاسلامية وتعاليمها وكيف يجب على المسلم أن يفقه دينه ويرعى أخلاقه وتصرفاته وأعماله كما يرعى عباداته وابتهالاته وذكره. وفي الفصل الرابع يبين الكتاب محبة الله ورسوله والتوكل على الله وإخلاص الدين له والشكر له، والصبر على حكمه والخوف منه والرجاء إليه وما يتبع ذلك.وبعده يتحدث في الفصل الخامس منه عن الجهاد في سبيل الله وفيه معرفة كيف يواجه المسلم حملات المستشرقين والفرق بين الجهاد في الإسلام والحرب الدفاعية. أما الفصل السادس من الكتاب فهو عن الصلاة وأصلها والمحافظة عليها.
