هذا الكتاب أيقونة للحب والجمال والتصالح والوئام والسلام، هو تحفة فنية ونفحة روحانية يضيفها فضيلة الدكتور الشيخ ميثم السلمان إلى المكتبة العربية، بعدما اتحف قرائه بكتبه التربوية النادرة المثال، والتي يجمع فيها بين العلوم الأكاديمية المتطورة والعلوم الدينية الأصيلة المستقاة من التراث اللغوي للرسول الأكرم صلى الله عليه وسلم، وأئمة الهدى الأبرار صلوات الله عليهم.
وعبر صفحات هذا الكتاب يفكك المؤلف معنى الحب الحقيقي (الحب الإلهي) وينهل منه أنواعاً للحب الدنيوي ويقوم بتفسيرها بمنطق العقل والتفكر والبرهان فيفرق بين الحب والعاطفة وبين الحب الوهمي والحب الخلاب أو الحب المخادع والحب الحقيقي، ليخلص إلى حب الله تعالى يعلو كل حب مرتكزاً على مقولة الإمام الخميني تفيد بأن الطاعة والعبادة هي التي تميز حب الله عن حب الآخرين ويوضح الإمام هذا بقوله: "إذا اقتنع الإنسان بأن العبادة من الأمور الهامة، وأنها أكثر أهمية بالنسبة إلى الأمور الأخرى - بل لا مجال للمقارنة بين العبادة والأمور الثانية الأخرى لحافظَ على أوقات العبادة وخصص لها وقتاً".
ويعقب المؤلف بالقول: إننا "بذلنا كل طاقتنا في حب وهمي، في حب الدنيا وحب الشهوات وحب النساء وحب العمل وحب المال وحب المدرسة... فجعلنا قلوبنا مساكن شعبية لكل شيء في الدنيا... وطغى ذلك على حب الله ورسوله، فتركنا ما هو أعظم من ذلك وهو حب الله، فأين نحن من الحب الأسمى والأرقى؟".
ما يميز هذا الكتاب أنه يقدم إرشادات وتعاليم لكل من أراد أن يسلك طريق الحب ويجعله دستوراً لحياته، الحب الحقيقي الذي يتغلب على عواطف شتى "الأبوة" و"الأمومة" و"الزوجة"، و"الولد" وسواهم ليرقى إلى قيمة عليا لا تدرك إلا بحب الله تعالى.
