رواية عن صفقة الحياة... ومقايضتها بتحقيق الأحلام... صفقة بين آدم آدم صاحب فندق "إستراحة مفيستو" وآدم المسكين... تنويع وتناص معكوس وبعيد حول فكرة غواية مفيستو أو إبليس لآدم... وهو هنا ليس شيطاناً إبليس كما في الأساطير الدينية وإنما هو آدم... صاحب الأرض... والخليفة - الشيطان... الذي همه غواية الشاب آدم المسكين المتوحد الذي لا ينشد من الوجود سوى معرفة حقيقة الوجود!...
كيف تنتهي هذه الغواية التي تتداخل فيها جوقة من الحواءات والأوادم... الموتى... الذين باعوا أرواحهم لآدم آدم من أجل النعيم في "إستراحة مفيستو"... هذا ما سيتوغل فيه القارئ من خلال متاهة الموتى في هذه الرواية!...
