يقف هذا المسعى النقدي عند ثلاث تجارب روائية للكاتب محمد حيّاوي هي "خان الشابندر، بيت السودان، سيرة الفراشة"، وهي من التجارب التي أثارت إهتماماً عربياً واسعاً وتعددت مستويات قراءاتها بين ناقد وآخر، الأمر الذي يؤكد حيويتها وقدرتها على العطاء والتنوع في القراءة.
ولأن النصوص المعطاءة غالباً ما تكون قادرة على النمو والتشكل وإثارة نزعة الخيال في ذهن المتلقي الذي يمارس قراءته الخاصة وفق مكوناته الثقافية والمعرفية، فإن قراءتنا ستكون سوسيونصيّة، لإكتشاف جماليات تلك النصوص وتنقلات الكاتب السردية المتنوعة في تجسيد عوالم شخصياته الروائية ومركزية خطابه السردي.
لا يمكن قراءة سرديات الروائي محمد حيّاوي قراءة نمطية، وإنّما لا بد أن تملك هذه القراءة وعياً متيقظاً يستطيع تلمّس الشفرات السريَّة للنصّ، تلك التي يمكن أن يبثها بواسطة جميلة سردية أو مقطع حواري، وهو الأسلوب الذي اعتمده حيّاوي منذ روايته الأولى "ثغور الماء - 1993" مروراً بــ "غرفة مضاءة لفاطمة - نصّوص سردية 1986" و"طواف مُتّصل - رواية - 1988" و"نصّوص المرقاة - 1996"، إذ تتمظهر في نصّوصه السرديّة، القصصية والروائية، الكثير من شظايا التجربة الحياتية اليوميّة، لتكوّن مرتكزاً أو منطلقاً للنصّ السردي، وتكاد هذه المزاوجة، بين الشخصي الذاتي والعام الإبتكاري، أن تكون نقطة الإرتكاز في الخلق الإبداعي وشرارة القدح لمعظم النّصّوص التي قدّمها محمد حيّاوي على مدى الثلاثين عاماً المنصّرمة.
