باحث وناقد أدبي ومترجم، أستاذ الأدب الحديث في جامعة اليرموك- الأردن، حصل على الدكتوراة من جامعة فريدريش فيلهلم- بون- ألمانيا عام 1986. وعمل أستاذاً زائراً في أكثر من جامعة أردنية وعربية.
أصدر عدداً من الدراسات من أبرزها: "الانتحار في الأدب العربي"، "باريس في الأدب العربي" و"دوائر المقارنة".وغيرها. كما أن له العديد من الكتب المترجمة عن الالمانية، نذكر منها: "يوميات فرانتس كافكا 1910-1923"، "آدم باحث وناقد أدبي ومترجم، أستاذ الأدب الحديث في جامعة اليرموك- الأردن، حصل على الدكتوراة من جامعة فريدريش فيلهلم- بون- ألمانيا عام 1986. وعمل أستاذاً زائراً في أكثر من جامعة أردنية وعربية.
أصدر عدداً من الدراسات من أبرزها: "الانتحار في الأدب العربي"، "باريس في الأدب العربي" و"دوائر المقارنة".وغيرها. كما أن له العديد من الكتب المترجمة عن الالمانية، نذكر منها: "يوميات فرانتس كافكا 1910-1923"، "آدم وإيفيلين" لإنجو شولتسه، و"أوروبا والشرق من منظور واحد من الليبراليين المصريين" لبوبر يوهانزن.
حائز على جائزة أفضل كتاب مترجم للعام الجامعي 2007 التي تمنحها جامعة فيلادلفيا الأردنية عن كتاب ما بعد اليوتوبيات.

يتوقف هذا الكتاب عند بعدين رئيسين:
في البعد الأول يدرس الكتاب لحظة الانتحار كما تتجلى في كتابات المنتحرين، من المبدعين العرب، ويصل بين هذه اللحظة العميقة الغور، المعقدة التركيب وبين هذا الإبداع الذي يحتويها ويرهص لها.
ويتوقف في البعد الثاني عند العلاقة بين تجارب روائية متميزة ونصوص من السيرة الغائرة في أعماق الروائي، بغية الكشف عن العلاقة الجدلية بين السيرة والرواية.
فالكتاب في مجموعه يتناول تلك المشكلات بالتحليل النقدي، ويسعى لقراءة نصية تجمع بين النص الشعري والنص الروائي، ويستكنه علاقة تلك النصوص بمبدعها من جهة، وبغيرها من النصوص الغائبة الكامنة في أعماق تلك النصوص.
