تنطلق هذه الدراسة من النص وإلى النص بوصفه مركز إشعاع إبداعي وباثّاً لكل المفاهيم والنظريات السردية والإتصالية والجمالية، وكانت تجربة القراءة مع سرديات سعد محمد رحيم، لا سيما في أعماله الروائية "غسق الكراكي / ترنيمة امرأة... شفق البحر / مقتل بائع الكتب" تجربة ممتعة لا تضاهيها متعة سوى الكتابة عن تجربة القراءة والإنهماك في إكتساف سرّ الصنعة الإبداعية في خلق وتكوين تلك النصوص لتكون موجودات مالية قابلة للإقتناء بعد أن كانت مجرد خيالات في فضاء ذاكرة إنسان، وأضاف تلقّي تلك النصوص طاقة روحية إيجابية تواصلت وتفاعلت مع التجارب الإنسانية التي حفلت بها تلك النصوص، فقد كانت عالماً متكاملاً قفز من التخيلي إلى الواقعي، وكأن النص أشبه بكائن حي، يولد وينمو ويكبر مع القراءة الفاعلة والمتجددة.
ولم تخضع عملية القراءة إلى محددات أو قصديات مسبقة، وإنما انفتحت على ما سيكون في النص وتفاعلت معه من حيث إنه خلق جديد لواقع معاش، إذ لم يكن البيئات التي تحركت في مدارها الشخصيات بالبيئات المختلفة أو البعيدة أو الغريبة عن المتلقي، وإنما هي البيئات ذاتها التي يتحرك في فضائها الزمكاني بشكل يومي.
