في كتاب "النفائس العلوية في المسائل الصوفية" فتاوى للسيد "عبد الله بن علوي بن محمد الحداد" المولود ليلة الخميس 5 صفر سنة 1044هـ، وتربّى في تريم وقد كُفَّ بصره وهو صغير فعّوضه الله عنه بنور البصيرة وجدّ واجتهد في طلب العلوم النافعة وعكف على علماء عصره، ثم نصبه الله للدعوة والإرشاد داعياً إلى الله تعالى بالحكمة والموعظة الحسنة، فأقبل عليه الناس وانتشر صبيته في البلدان وانتفع به القاصي والداني.
وقد احتوى هذا الكتاب على مجموع فتاويه من خلال أسئلة طرحت عليه وبلغت عدد الأسئلة 163 سؤال نذكر منها: عن حكم الخواطر في حق الواصل، عن حكم من يخالط أهل المعاصي، عن إخفاء العبادة او إظهارها، عن وقت أذكار الصباح والمساء متى يدخل، عن حكم من يعمل، رجاء الثواب، عن طاعة الوالدين، وغير ذلك...
