ترتكز بؤرة الخطاب السردي في رواية «وطن بتوقيت التيه» للكاتبة الدكتورة زَهْرَة خُدْرُج على جزيرة متخيلة نسيها العالم منذ عقود تدعى "دير الصُّخور" كانت قد تمت محاصرتها وأبادة أهلها بعد أن رفضوا بيع أراضيهم لمنظمة مشبوهة جاءت من خارج البلاد؛ إلا أن شاهداً على الحدث من أهلها ممن آثر البقاء دوّن ما رآه في مخطوطة، وكلّهُ أمل أن تصل إلى أيدٍ نظيفة تستطيع أن تُسهم في إعلاء صوت أهلها الأصليين، وتنقل ما مرُّوا به من معاناة للعالم أجمع.
بعد ثلاثة عقود تعود القضية إلى الظهور، وتكون مثار اهتمام فريق كبير من المهتمين يضم صحفيين وخبراء قانون وتاريخ وآثار بدأوا بتتبع تاريخ الأحداث في هذه الجزيرة وصولاً إلى تدميرها وإبادة أهلها، وحتى سيطرة المنظَّمة عليها، يحدوهم الأمل أن يتمكنوا من إعادة الجزيرة إلى أهلها ولكنهم يواجَهون بالرفض وتمويه الحقائق، إذ أن المخطوطة التي تم العثور عليها في ملفَّات الدَّاخلية بجهود صَحافيةٍ مغامرة تنتمي عائلتها إلى جزيرة "دير الصُّخور" لا يعتبرها القضاء دليل إثبات، أو دليل إدانة لأشخاص أو لمنظمة.. ومع إصرار الفريق على متابعة القضية وعرضها على الرأي العام، يتم الإيقاع بهم وفق خطة مدروسة ويدفع كل واحد منهم الثمن على طريقة المنظمة!!
«وطن بتوقيت التيه» رواية كُتبت وفق مقصد غائي يعيد إلى الأذهان كواليس خسارة أرض فلسطين العربية، أرض تم شراء أراضيها وتشريد أهلها بالقوة، هي محاكمة روائية للصهيونية العالمية ومنظماتها السّرية تقول لهم أن الأرض ستعود ما دام هناك شعب فلسطيني حيّ واثق الخطى ومغامر...
