لم تبدأ "كامب ديفيد" في المنتجع الأمريكي عام 1978، وإنما بدأت مع بداية حكم السادات، وإقدامه على تصفية ثورة يوليو.
وفي ثنايا هذا الكتاب تتناول الكاتبة، عدم دستورية "كامب ديفيد" وانتهاكها للقانون الدولي، وأن "كامب ديفيد" وانتهاكها للقانون الدولي، وأن "كامب ديفيد" تمثل "نكبة"، بعد نكبة 1948، وامتداداً للسياسة الاستعمارية في القضاء على الدور القومي لمصر منذ محمد علي حتى الآن.
حيث تخلص الكاتبة إلى أن هذه المعاهدة هي ذاتها معاهدة لندن 1840. كما أنها تمثل تحولاً تاريخياً في مجرى الصراع العربي-الإسرائيلي. فللمرة الأولى في تاريخ هذا الصراع توقع دولة عربية اتفاقاً تعاقدياً مع العدو، تعترف فيه بشرعية وجوده، مع ما يترتب على ذلك من تنازلات والتزامات.
