يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى تحقيق ما يأتي:

-مساعدة الموهوبين والمتفوقين ليصبحوا قادرين على حل مشكلاتهم بأنفسهم.
-تطوير قدراتهم ومهاراتهم في حل المشكلات، ومهارات التفكير الإبداعي، ومهارات البحث العلمي، ومهارات الدراسات المستقلة.
-الارتقاء بالتعليم الذات إلى أعلى مستوياته.
-تمكين الموهوبين والمتفوقين من إدراك قيمة عطائهم ومشاركتهم في خدمة المجتمع.
إن الواجب يحتم علينا مساعدة هذه الفئة التي تتميز بطاقات خاصة وإعدادهم ليكونوا قادة المستقبل، ومورداً من موارد الثروة القومية والمهنية للوطن، حيث يوجد لديهم طاقة كبيرة من القدرات الاستثنائية التي لا يجوز لأي وطن إهمالها أو عدم العناية بها.
لذلك لا بد من إيجاد التشريعات الخاصة بفئة الموهوبين، وتعيين فئة متخصصة من الأساتذة، ووضع برامج مناسبة لهم وميزانيات لتمويلها ومتابعتها من أجل تحقيق الأهداف المنشودة.
لعل من أهم الأسباب الرئيسية إلى عدم وجود دولة عربية واحدة في صفوف الدول المتقدمة، أو حتى الدول النامية بحق وأننا عالة على غيرنا في توفير الصناعات الضرورية لنا من طائرات، وقطارات، وسيارات، وثلاجات، وغسالات وغيرها، هو إهمال هذه الدول للثروة القومية الحقيقية فيها المتمثلة بالعقول والطاقات الكامنة عند إهمال المتفوقين والمبدعين.
